Address intelligence for commerce
Every locationdeserves a reliableidentity.
Pinmark helps online businesses capture, confirm and use accurate delivery locations directly inside checkout.
Building the next generation of address infrastructure for commerce.
The address problem
Getting an address shouldn't be the hardest part of checkout.
Online businesses rely on customers to provide accurate delivery information. But addresses can be incomplete, inconsistent or difficult to locate.
Incomplete addresses.
Customers write what they can remember — a street, a landmark, sometimes less. The details a business actually needs are often missing.
Difficult-to-find locations.
Even a complete-looking address can be hard to locate in the real world, leaving delivery teams to guess the final metres.
Checkout and delivery friction.
Ambiguous addresses become extra work — clarification calls, delayed dispatch and customers chasing orders they expected to arrive.
Pinmark's approach
One simple experience. Better location information.
Three steps, one purpose — a delivery location the customer meant, seen and confirmed in their own words or on the map.
Locate the intended destination.
Allow customers to use their device location, search an address or select a point on a map.
Confirm the destination on a map.
Show customers the selected location and allow them to confirm or adjust their intended delivery destination.
Use it in checkout.
Return structured location information to the merchant's existing checkout, ready for fulfilment.
How it works
From checkout selection to a populated delivery address.
- STEP 01
The customer reaches checkout.
A normal online order, on the merchant's existing store.
- STEP 02
“Pinmark my location.”
The customer taps the Pinmark button inside their delivery details.
- STEP 03
Capture, with permission.
Device location, address search or map selection — only with the customer's consent.
- STEP 04
Resolve the location.
Available authorised geographic sources turn that intent into structured location information.
- STEP 05
Confirm the pin.
The customer sees the selected location on a map and confirms or adjusts it.
- STEP 06
Fields populate.
Delivery address fields are filled automatically with structured information.
- STEP 07
Existing payment continues.
The merchant's own checkout and payment process proceeds unchanged.

Built on address infrastructure
Building on existing address systems. Making them work better for commerce.
Pinmark is designed to bring existing geographic and postcode infrastructure into a simpler checkout experience.
Nigeria's Digital Postcode
NIPOST's National Digital Postcode provides a building-level postal reference system. Pinmark intends to support authorised integrations with this infrastructure where technically and commercially permitted.
GPS and geographic coordinates
Device location and map selection are used to identify the geographical point the customer intends — always with permission and confirmation.
Global location references
Open location-encoding systems such as Plus Codes are being explored as an additional, interoperable way to reference a destination.
Address intelligence
Permitted location information is brought together into a structured, customer-confirmed checkout experience for the merchant's own systems.
Pinmark complements existing address infrastructure. It does not need to replace it.

Frequently asked questions
Questions businesses ask before applying.
Pinmark is in development. Merchant integrations are being explored with a small pilot group — answers here reflect what is true today.
Pinmark is an address intelligence and checkout integration platform being built for online businesses. It is designed to help customers capture more accurate, usable delivery locations at checkout — by detecting their device location, searching an address or selecting a point on a map — and to confirm that location before delivery details are populated into the merchant's checkout.
At checkout, the customer chooses “Pinmark my location”. With their permission, Pinmark captures available location information, resolves it using authorised geographic sources, and shows the selected location on a map for the customer to confirm or adjust. Once confirmed, the delivery fields are populated and the merchant's existing payment process continues unchanged.
No. Pinmark is not a payment provider and does not replace one. The merchant keeps its existing e-commerce and payment infrastructure — Pinmark is only involved in capturing and confirming the delivery location before payment continues.
No, GPS is only one option. A customer can also search for an address or manually select a point on the map. Location access is always requested with permission — customers who prefer not to share their device location can still use Pinmark through the other options.
Yes. Sending a gift to someone else, ordering for a friend, or arranging delivery to a destination you aren't at — all of these are expected uses of Pinmark. The customer can search for or select any intended destination and confirm it on the map before checkout completes.
Pinmark is being designed to work with existing geographic and postcode systems, including Nigeria's National Digital Postcode System through authorised integrations where technically and commercially permitted. Pinmark does not claim a current partnership, API integration or commercial agreement with NIPOST, and does not own or distribute NIPOST's postcode data. Pinmark complements existing address infrastructure — it does not need to replace it.
That is the intent. Beyond Nigeria's Digital Postcode System, Pinmark is designed to work with device location and map selection, and is exploring open location-encoding systems such as Plus Codes. The goal is a single customer-confirmed checkout experience built on whatever authorised sources are available.
A WooCommerce integration is on the product roadmap, alongside a JavaScript checkout widget and a REST API. These integrations are in development and not yet publicly available. Businesses interested in piloting Pinmark with their WooCommerce store are welcome to apply to the early merchant programme.
No. The API is a concept still in development — there is no publicly available endpoint, SDK or documentation today. Any code shown on this site is illustrative. Developers can register their interest through the application form and will be contacted as integration paths open up.
Use the “Apply to become a pilot merchant” form on this page. Fill in your contact name, business name, email and website URL — plus optional details like your platform and biggest address challenge. Each application is reviewed personally by the Pinmark team; applying is not an automatic guarantee of selection or integration.
